Terms of Service

1. Accepting these terms

By creating an account or using Afri WorkPlus you agree to these terms. If you use the service on behalf of a company, you confirm you may bind that company.

2. What Afri WorkPlus is

We are a marketplace. Clients post work and book professionals; professionals and businesses publish profiles and accept work. Afri WorkPlus is not the employer of any professional and is not a party to the service contract between a client and a provider.

3. Accounts

You must be at least 18 and provide accurate information. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your password secure. We may suspend accounts that break these terms, impersonate others or attempt fraud.

4. Bookings and payments

Prices are set by the provider. Afri WorkPlus adds a 5% service fee to each booking, collected through our payment processor at checkout.

Payouts to providers are released after the service is delivered, minus the service fee and any processor charges. Chargebacks, refunds and disputes are handled case by case; we may hold funds while a dispute is reviewed.

5. Memberships

Spotlight and Signature memberships renew monthly until cancelled. You can cancel any time from your dashboard; access continues to the end of the paid period. Membership fees are non-refundable for periods already started.

6. Cancellations

Clients may cancel a pending booking before it is confirmed for a full refund of the amount paid. After confirmation, refunds follow the provider's stated policy. Providers who repeatedly cancel confirmed work may lose placement or be removed.

7. Content and conduct

You keep ownership of the profile text, portfolio images and reviews you post, and grant us a licence to display them in the app and in listings. Do not post illegal, misleading, harassing, discriminatory or infringing content, fake reviews, or contact details intended to take payment off-platform.

8. Liability

The service is provided as is. To the fullest extent allowed by law, Afri WorkPlus is not liable for the quality, safety or legality of services booked through the platform, and our total liability is limited to the service fees you paid us in the three months before the claim.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, with courts in Abuja having jurisdiction, without limiting any mandatory consumer rights in your own country.
